Both the ASH47 and the AD110 have been in ASP for a long time. Both are on the device list and video can be viewed in real time. I just deleted the ASH47 and did a manual add. No go, the error message says user or password is invalid. I decided to go to Smart Home and change the password. The process requires that the current password be entered, then enter the new password and confirm it. Then click "done". No confirmation that the password had been changed was given. I guess I will have to do a reset.

Yeah without there being a WebUI it is easy to forget what the password is for the SH products if they are different from your normal IP line of devices. So this leave something narrow to use for testing. ASP or AVP and both can be used with SH products, Using the user and password just like you would your other normally already connected devices.. User and password for the system as long as you know the IP address for them they will setup just like a normal Amcrest IP cameras on port 37777 and private protocol.. Last thing if you can't get them to work as I was saying is Factory Reset..

Well, I decided to try setting the ASH47 up from scratch. I deleted the ASH from Smart Home, ASP and 4108. Then I did a Factory Reset on the ASH.
Then I followed step by step instructions on how to add the ASH to Smart Home, documenting the password, etc. Then I added the ASH to ASP, no problem, I can view real time video. Then I manually added the ASH to the 4108. Same issue, I can't get the red dot to turn green which indicates that the ASH is not online.

Don't do a Manual add, Do a device search, then click add after you check mark the cameras IP. Then make sure you put in the correct password if it comes up with a Red DOT.. Doing it from anything outside of the NVRs GUI can cause you to enter the password even if you are on the same password, So best to use the GUI of the NVR to add in the Smart Home devices. Don't Manual Add.. Just do an Add..

OK, I deleted the ASH from the 4108. Then I did a search for devices. The ASH came up. Then I clicked add and the ASH showed up in the 4108 device list. It had a red button. I clicked the edit icon and entered the password. I did it several times and cannot get the button to turn green.

So here is a Video, While this is on my Amcrest 4216-E1 it is the same and works the same as my HS NVRs.. In the video I show installing from GUI off the Grid, The Smart Home cameras with same password will do this without an issue. However normally it is best to do it from the Main Menu and Camera listings.. I do it all the ways you can do it on the GUI it is best not to do it from the WebUI unless you want to make sure that you are entering the password correctly every time you add them in that way.. Also while making the video I show in the Manual add and there is empty password area. It is still best to add with the add button not the Manual. Manual is there for adding in NON Amcrest cameras.. Where you would need to pick type and maybe change ports and things like that.. YOu can see the Video here, It is unlisted and can't be found on my Channel so must follow the link to view it.

Now I did another video and I am not sure if the first one is keeping the second one from finishing but I did the second one from my 4116E-HS NVR using WebUI. Removed the Camera from Channel 12 and added it back on the WebUI, Again normally doing this with Amcrest IP cameras on the WebUI it will require a password to be entered, However the ASH line of cameras don't require this if the password is the same for the NVR as it is for the camera and will add in and come up Green without issue.. Once that video is finished being uploaded I will add this in as well to this post here so you or others can see if needed..

On my laptop, the video is too small for my old eyes to get any detail. One thing, as it happens, I use the same password for logging into the 4108 as for logging into the ASH and the AD110! But the cameras show up with a red dot. The 941 cameras also show up with a red dot. I have been able to get a green dot the 941 cameras by entering password two or three times. The ASH camera will not go green no matter how many times I enter the password.

In both my videos I show that installing the camera in all modes for the ASH line requires no password to be entered when using the same,

Delete the Camera from your NVR.. Reboot the NVR.. Bring up Main menu, Log in *Using password or Pattern however you login* then click on Camera bottom left, Then do a device search, then click on the IP address that comes up for your ASH47, then click ADD... Give it very short time or upto however long it takes, Shouldn't be long and that Red Dot should go green.. No actions needed for ASH line when pressing the ADD button...

That way you don't have to watch small 1080P sized Video.. If it don't work then only other issue is that maybe just maybe there is a Network issue with the Connection to the ASH47, Mine is connected using an Ethernet cable 3 Switches away from my NVR.. Connection and dot change is almost instant..

I used the Web GUI to follow your procedure. ASH47 comes up with a red dot that won't turn green. I went to my 4108 GUI and logged in. The first screen that comes up has nine windows. One for each of the seven cameras, one for the 4108 and one blank. Very interesting screen!

Four screens had video from the cameras.

One camera, which is not powered up, had a message, "Can not find the network host".

The AD110 had a message, "The account has been locked".

The ASH47 had a message, "Can not find the network host".

I have no idea what any of this means. How and why would the AD110 be "locked"? And how do I unlock it?

Why would the ASH47 have the same message as a camera that is not powered up?

What does "Can not find the network host" mean?
