Ok so I moved my cameras to another NVR as you can see in the picture, Last picture that NVR had been reset back to factory so the Switch of the NVR was still default, Normally I change my Switch IP to something out of the default so I don't have any issues with all the cameras if they happen to leak past. Long story..
Anyway on this NVR because it was pre setup already I didn't connect to monitor.. I had some issues with my Passwords because these cameras all have different password. Then to be honest without it connected on a PORT I forgot what one was what password lol. IT took me 4 different tries to get the passwords to take..
Change password. Seeing no monitor I can't see that the GUI might say that the camera is locked out. So I take that it is and Reboot the NVR. Top of the page of the WebUI under log out is reboot, I reboot the NVR and 2 of the cameras came back online. So then it was another go. I hit refresh but then I again guess that I might have been locked out so I reboot the NVR.. another one came online then I did 1 last change of the password and another reboot and all the cameras were online..
Removing power from camera to reboot it so it is not locked out of the NVR is best way to go if you have NVR with POE ports and cameras are connected over POE then just do a Reboot of the NVR. Cameras go offline and this makes the lockout null...
If you are not looking at the GUI of the NVR and still have red dots. Reboot NVR or cameras if wifi/ip cameras and not connected to POE NVR..

Re: None of my Cameras Record
Also worse case, If you need to reset the camera you can use the NVR to setup the camera without having to even touch the cameras WebUi or the AVP/AVP2.. Take a camera that has not been setup and connect to your local network. or reset one you already have. Next use the NVRs camera search for device click on the Uninitialized and do the device search, you will find ones that are not setup yet, Then click on the Initialize and it will setup the camera with the NVRs password and email info in case you forget your password I setup the camera for Ip 10.0.0.180 you can see that in the second picture.. Keep in mind if you are working with a Wifi camera then you would need to setup Wifi in the app as normal or setup using cable and turn on the Wifi.. The info above is really for POE and normal connected Ethernet cable connected cameras

Re: None of my Cameras Record
On the page where the cameras on the 4108 are listed, the pen icon takes me to an edit page. On the edit page the is a "setting" section where Channel No and Remote Channel are listed and a Setting button. I have no idea what that setting is supposed to be. On cameras that have green buttons, they are both set to "1".
I have managed to get the five 941 camera buttons to turn green. The ASH47 and AD110 refuse to turn green.
I am going to go to the 4108 directly to see if it will be a better interface.

Re: None of my Cameras Record
Numbers and setting button is top secret lol. JK, So what that is for is if your cameras has more then 1 channel in the device you can pick the channel you want it to record from. Also in some machines you can even pick up what type of channel you want to run as the main, Like in some of my Ai cameras I have 3 streams. It has the ability to pick stream2 and the main.. But that is little different..
Sadly from the WebUi most of that is disabled for some reason. Used to be able to do it from the Camera page in the past. Now if you want to add like the case of adding in a camera from a DVR onto your NVR and by default the channel would be from 1, But you want to access channel 7 then you can do that from the drop down menu in the Camera page of the NVRs GUI page see picture below. While I did say DVR it could be as well another NVR as it is in my picture.. 1 NVR into another NVR...
In the second picture you can see that my ASH47 is connected and is as all the others on ch1 of the camera as normal..

Re: None of my Cameras Record
So, the setting section can be ignored if the camera has only one channel?
I was just trying to get the AD110 button to turn green and noticed that the seven cameras are messed up. They were in a column from one to seven, now there are two camera three, no camera four and some other nonsense. I am beginning to think I need a new NVR. What do you think?

Re: None of my Cameras Record
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about? It might be that the NVR is bad but normally easy to know if it is bad or needs repair. From what you are talking about sounds like something outside of being a dead Recorder. Pictures are worth a 1000 words..

Re: None of my Cameras Record
Here are three screen shots from my 4108. The first is the list of devices found. There are only 6 of 7 camera s. ASH is missing. I was messing with the ASH and probably left it offline. The second is the cameras added to the 4108. Notice there are two Cam 4s and no Cam 3. The third is where the mystery Setup section shows up. Let me know what you think.

Re: None of my Cameras Record
First, the ip it seems you might be using for nvr, I would change out to something different the 108 ip is standard starting ip for cameras that don't have dhcp enabled. This way don't have to worry about a device getting turned on and making the NVR show offline.
Rest look normal besides the red dots. I would connect nvr to monitor and double check what monitor says. I wouldn't install another camera until the one you have already come online,

Re: None of my Cameras Record
Well, I did a Factory Reset by the method that uses a button on the 4108 mother board. Things are mostly back to normal. I have the five 941 cameras with green buttons. But, the ASH47 and the AD110 will not cooperate. I have reviewed settings for both cameras via Smart Home and I can't find anything that looks fishy. Any ideas on what to try? I know both cameras used to record. In fact, the AD110 was useful in a police investigation of an incident in the neighborhood.
