Sadly about your Wifi I can't say that what your system can do on a Laptop or your Phone is going to have the same of what it can do in that Camera...
Then camera don't have any outside antenna and the back plate is metal so there is this to think about when it comes to bad Wifi.. I can tell you for sure that My phone while I get a Good connection to my main Router at my shed as long as I don't turn much.. I have to use my Exterior Wifi when I am in my Shop that is behind my shed.. I can say when I tested the door bell back at the shed there was no connection to the Main Router and so I have it working in my front door that is now 20 feet from the Main router..
Just Ideas and hard to say without testing things... 17.5v is good and was that tested at operation as well? I mean it could show there is a VOLTAGE DROP over use
I can tell you from loads of testing that even my 100va 24vac transformer has a voltage drop when I press the button and has a nice large drop when I hold a normal doorbell button from 26vac to 22vac but that is holding in a button even though I have more then enough power the doorbell takes a load of amps...
So yeah sadly if it is with IR it sounds like voltage issue and again could be a short in the wire... This short dont even have to be a Short really but a wire that in the cap isn't making good connection and as the wire heats up moves away cools off and makes contact again there are things that are at play that some people just have not seen before and while I can't say I have had this camera for 40+ years I can say that I have been in Electronics and Low Voltage Electronics for that long and I have seen stranger things...

The only way this device could have a better connection is if it was Hard Wired.Revo2Maxx wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 1:24 pm Sadly about your Wifi I can't say that what your system can do on a Laptop or your Phone is going to have the same of what it can do in that Camera...

I’m almost certain you’re barking up the wrong tree looking at your WiFi connection as the culprit. The doorbell will make that announcement every time it reboots or is reset in some way. Since you’ve identified it as happening at night, it is most likely the switching on of the IR emitters that is causing a current draw that your transformer can’t handle, resulting in a momentary voltage drop. To capture it with a meter/scope you’d have to monitor with the doorbell hooked up and drawing power.
Use the new firmware to turn nightvision off for a night or two. If problem goes away, you know the cause. Next, you’d need to install a new transformer or identify a weak connection on the line which may be contributing to the inability to deliver current demands.

Same problem here... No fix yet?
djsteve wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 11:46 am Updated Firmware successfully, but in doorbell it is identified as "1.000.00AC004.0.R.200509" (note the missing "V" at the front and missing "20" after "R.") rather than "V1.000.00AC004.0.R.20200509" Thus, each time it reboots from the update the app thinks that there is still a newer firmware update to perform and prompts again. This repeats endlessly.
How did this not get caught in testing??? Your own screen capture above mine shows the same thing - the red dot next to firmware indicates that the app believes there is a newer version still available!!!

also noticed a change to the link digital/mechanical chime setting. there is a configurable setting for digital chime in 'seconds.' amcrest still needs to fix the firmware version numbering. there is an option to stop the prompt by checking the 'don't ask me again.'/quote]
Are you saying that the page that lets you specify mechanical, digital or none, selecting digital gives an option to specify how long to keep the chime playing? That would be great for chimes that play tunes. Now, I have to find out why my update fails.

Well, well, well, Interesting development.I turned off night vision and it stayed on... It also auto flipped to Night mode. Even though it is off. It has now made in 2 Nights in a row were it recorded the whole night and not in 5-10 minute chunks at best. Interesting as the off gave me basically a black video but now it flipped the IR on and it stayed on. During the say its in color vs the black and white.
Not 100% but I will take it.

After learning here that the repeated firmware prompt can be easily disabled by the "don't bother me again" checkbox, I went ahead with the update.
I wonder if Amcrest could change the text file on the firmware download server that identifies the latest version to simply match what the actually gets installed? That would that be a back-end fix without having to issue an update. In any case, all we have to put up with is the red dot indicating a new update that can be ignored. I will rely on this forum if another update is available.
For me, a WDR setting of 1 or at most 2 did improve the image. Any higher and the colors were washed out. Night vision worked fine, but I still prefer to leave the IR off and maintain a color picture of a well-lit front porch.
The motion detection zone description text was improved as was the color that was changed to a light blue from red - a good UI decision that may have been made from our feedback. Should be no confusion now.
However, I checked to see if the Guide https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/a ... ell-Camera was updated. It was not. Constructive comments I left on this page for the author regarding suggested updates have been ignored for months.

i noticed after updating to this firmware, the color hue of the camera has more magenta now. anyone else noticing more magenta hue with their doorbell? i think playing with the wdr setting has changed the camera's color hue. old video recordings before the firmware update have warmer colors.
Re: AD110 firmware v1.000.00AC004.0.R.20200509
Odd I didn't even think anything about it but yes I to see this same odd color change.. While it isn't to great of a difference it is making the image at this point in the day rather dark.. It is yes after 9PM here but the other cameras are not as drastic of darkness as the Doorbell now is... I am going to have to check a few settings as it might be a Scheduling issue for my camera if that is an option sorry I can't remember what camera has what options anymore have to many lol
Be Safe.

video recordings color hue prior to this firmware update look warmer and better. this firmware update has changed the color hue to have more magenta. snapshots look like washed out old photos. this firmware is definitely a 'work in progress.' i would hope someone from amcrest would chime in to advise when should we expect another firmware fix to address both the version numbering and the magenta color hue.
on a separate note, there should be another night vision setting that is turned off but is turned on only when there is motion detected--a common feature found on trail cameras.
