That photo is IR on Auto... but also with WDR enabled. I think WDR is what really helps. Also there's a floodlight over the front steps, you can sort of see the bright spot from it. I think that helps a lot.

If tomorrow is a ok day and dry I will go pull the camera and remove the front again, Clean front and back of the glass and inspect the Cameras lens. Because how new it was I didn't look at the lens and only cleaned the glass out of habit. I will admit I bought my 841v3 as a defective camera because of bad camera lens that I needed to take the camera apart and clear off the Cmos sensor (Not something I think people should be doing if they have never worked on things like that before) However once I put the camera back together the camera worked like new.

Anyway here is the pictures of the 2496EW-v2, Also looking at mine with WDR on or off there was nothing different in my scene so this picture is with it off.

I'm not positive, but I think the low contrast / poor shadow detail in that image is from the IR reflecting off of whatever that is above the camera (I assume it's mounted under the soffit of the house, and the soffit is white?). I had similar issues like that with one of my cameras that had the edge of a floodlight in view, and resulted in very poor contrast and exposure. I think that if you angle the camera a bit farther down, so that you don't have any major light sources in the frame and don't have any major sources of reflection from the IR illuminators, the contrast should improve a lot. I'd also try extending the hood over the camera if it isn't already.
