Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
I can't view any recording in either iPhone or iPad. It used to work, but now It always says CANNOT CONNECT. Something wrong at your end? It makes this product less useful.
Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
I have the same problem. I'm able to get a live view from the amcrestcloud website, and I can see my (one) camera listed on the iPhone Amcrest Cloud app, but when I attempt a live view, I get a black screen on which the error message
Failed...
Cannot connect...
briefly appears, before the screen goes back to black. Interestingly:
1. I can see the up-to-date list of recordings from the app, but I can't view any of them; I get the same error as above.
2. I can make changes on the "Edit Camera" page of the app (like resolution), and they are immediately reflected on the website.
I'm pretty sure, therefore, that this is not a problem with camera connectivity but with the cloud app.
In an unrelated problem, in the Amcrest View app, it is impossible when importing from cloud to enter a password containing special characters.

Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
@platron, you described the problem in much more detailed.
Hopefully, this can get addressed ASAP as mobile access is THE most important aspect of any IP cameras.

Everyone facing the same problem should chime in so they know how serious a problem this is.
Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
I see the same problem. Going to web page via Google Chrome works, but the Cloud App cannot connect to the camera as you described!
Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
Using the Amcrest View Pro app works much better!
Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
I'm having the same exact issue. I cannot view anything on the "cloud app" I can see there are recordings in the app but I can't view them. If I use the Amcrest View Lite app I can view my cameras with no issues. I would like to view on the cloud app so I can see the recordings. I'm also getting notifications from the cloud app notifying me when there is motion - I just can't view them. If I login on the cloud website on my computer I can view the cameras and the recordings. I had Foscam Cloud service prior and had no issues with viewing on the cloud app. Please help!!!
Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I just dowloaded the Amcrest cloud app and I am unable to access the live view "Failed...Cannot connect...""
Do you plan to fix this issue soon ? I don't want to upgrade any cloud plan if the app is not working.
Thank you.

Re: Amcrest cloud app cannot connect
Is it a problem between the app and the service provider (camcloud)?
I also won't upgrade to 7 day plan unless it's working on my phone.

I agree with both of you. If the cloud app is not working I will not upgrade my service either. I might just return the cameras as this is the reason why I bought the cams to see on the cloud service.
