Remote connection

Post by zplugger »

How do I connect to my NVR from another network? I want to connect to my second home from my main home if this is possible. Any help is appreciated.

Best and easiest way is on your phone using P2P

Second way is with ASP using p2p and is now working again should be easy as downloading the program from Amcrest website, install, add a device, put in the Serial Number of the NVR and password and it will load all the cameras you can look at 1 at a time or set them in a grid as they are setup on the NVR even if you wanted.

Yeah ASP is a Windows 10 program and they have a Apple based one as well.

Amcrest Surveillance Pro...

Just keep in mind that personally for my self I find it a Pain in the back side because for me anyway between that and my NVR/DVR's and maybe even the cameras something in the mix gets my clocks all messed up.. So Other then that I would keep an eye on the Clocks and make sure they are not getting all crazy if not then perfect to use ASP via P2P to connect your NVR

Install software, make connection.. P2P is a Direct connection to your NVR.. IN the setup page rather then adding a IP you would change connection type to P2P input your NVR Serial Number, User name and password. Apply it will take a few seconds but the Orange light will change to green then you can View anything connected to your NVR

Please hang in there with me Revo2Maxx, little slow on catching on. When you say install software you mean ASP ? I have that on my computer now for the first house account. I want to get on the second house NVR ? Second house is 200 miles away but is connected to the internet.

Yes only need to know the Password and the SN for the NVR. If you don't have that handy next time your there you will want to get that number so you can setup.. IF you have someone that watches the place with Keys maybe ask them to assist to get your system working so you can view while away..

For me I Record all SN and keep them on Cloud storage so I can refer to them if needed while away if say I loose my phone or damage it where I can't get that data off I will have access after logging in to my Cloud Storage.. Not something most people do but something that has helped me out in the past.. So is a Practice I keep with..

Getting there, I can log into the system now. Is there a way to get to each camera the same way as Amcrest Web view using camera serial number?
