So are you saying that your NVR is stand alone without a normal network connection to your local network? Local network 192.168 and your NVR ethernet port is working on 10.1?
I mean 10.1.1.xx is what the NVR out of the box was working with on the POE NVR Switch.. The NVR it self if not off network and connected to your local network should have a IP in the 192.168.1.x range as your local devices.. The POE connected Cameras would work on the 10.1.1.xx range and connection to the NVR would not be going to 10.1.1.xx it would be going to a 192.168.1.xx. There in the WebUI could access the cameras through what is setup as Virtual lHost..
Anyway don't know your network or how it is connected. SO hard to guess how to make someething work. I do know that I can RTSP feed input to my NVR and BI from a WAN ip outside of my own local IP address.. Just saying...

Sorry for the late reply! We have had unusually dry times here, so outdoor projects have been the 'order of the day'. *normally* this time of year one can almost guarantee rainy afternoons to pursue indoor activities.
Do my best to answer.... to be sure I am using the right terms, you may see me put **ASTERISKS AND CAPS** when referring to ports, etc. This means I am pretty sure I got that right, but if i am wrong i want it to be noticeable. THANK YOU for your patience with some of my ignorance.
Pretty simple home network here. It was just the NVR connected to my home LAN router. Both on the 192.168.xx network. I can communicate with the NVR fine on BI computer. Via the **NETWORK PORT** on the NVR.
The issue is NOT getting the RTSP feed. That works fine! THANKS TO YOU!!
The issue is getting to the "Web Page" or "Web GUI" of the camera itself of cameras connected to the **POE PORTS** on the NVR.
Just to be SURE I got the basics right:
1) The NVR, with **NETWORK PORT** connected to the LAN, can use cameras attached to the LAN for recording, etc.
2) It can also use up to 8 cameras on its 'internal' Network, which are assigned a network ID in the 10.1.xx range.
So far, so good.
Now, I am accessing the NVR with my BIBox (Security computer on home LAN). Via the **LAN PORT** on the NVR, using the local address of 192.168.1.250 for the NVR.
I am on the CAMERA MANAGEMENT menu in the NVR GUI. One can see all the cameras that are on the 192.168.xx LAN, and ones that are on the **POE PORTS** that all have 10.1.xx addresses.
ALL cameras are feeding RTSP feeds to BI just fine.
But I wish to access the **WEB GUI** of the cameras. From the Camera Management menu in the NVR GUI .
Now on the NVR "camera management menu", one sees the IP addresses of the cameras , and it offers a way to directly access the Web GUI of the camera. Small "Chrome" icon.
Condition 1 - Click on that for any of the cameras on the 192.168.xx network to access that particular camera's Web GUI. Opens up a browser page using the cameras IP (in this case, 192.168.xx) and displays the camera's logon page. Log in, and I am communicating directly with the camera GUI. All good.
Condition 2 - Click on that same icon for any of the POE connected cameras, on the 10.1.xx network, to access that particular camera's Web GUI. Once again, Opens up a browser page using the cameras IP (in this case, 10.1.xx) and.... no logon page. It times out every time, saying ""10.1.xx did not connect"".
So, accessing the NVR via a remote computer over its **ETHERNET PORT** (192.168.1.250), using the handy button on the NVR GUI, I am not able to connect to the Web GUI of the cameras on the **POE PORTS** of the NVR, as described above. But I can connect to the Web GUI of any cam on the LAN connected cameras.
So... say I have 2 cameras connected to the **POE PORTS** on the NVR. On its internal 10.1.xx network. The NVR is connected to my LAN via its **ETHERNET PORT** .
HOW can I access the Web GUI of those POE PORT cams (10.1.xx) from my LAN connected security computer ( 192.168.xx)? Using the buttons provided by the NVR GUI does not work. *or I am using them wrong?
Hope I have stumbled around enough to give an accurate description of the issue.
if not, I will reconnect the device to get screenshots and video. I know I will have to sort this out to use the NVR in the future.
I intend on using the NVR as part of my external building camera network, and being able to get camera web GUI access to the **POE PORT** connected cameras from a remote computer will be necessary.
This MAY WELL be basic ignorance on my part of network basics. I am 'learning as I go' THANKS to people like you with infinite patience.

Just to be sure ... """"NVR Virtual IHost" - thats the proper name for the 'NVR GUI' that is accessed with remote computer??""Revo2Maxx wrote: ↑Fri Jul 18, 2025 7:17 pm So are you saying that your NVR is stand alone without a normal network connection to your local network? No sir. My NVR was connected to the home network. I was able to access it via 192.168.1.250. and NO, the **ETHERNET PORT** indeed is working on 192.168.1.x network.

Absolutely correct. That is how mine is, the NVR, and RTSP feed that BI uses are all going through the 192.168.1.250 **ETHERNET PORT** on the NVR. And giving me streams that are used by Blue Iris. Once again, thanks to your guidance on camera numbers, I got working. THANKS AGAIN!! But the cameras on the **POE PORTS** are all on the 10.1.xx network, and I am unable to access the camera's Web GUI's via the ""NVR Virtual IHost" (I assume thats the proper name for the 'NVR GUI' when accessed with remote computer??) .

I have no issues getting the RTSP feed to BI through the local network through the local network either now, again THANKS to your help before. But thats not the issue.

Re: Blue Iris and NVR NV4116E-A2
Log into NVR WebUI. Best using IE, if only Chrome or Edge Normal you will need to do next step two times for it to work. Click on Management, Camera, then in the bottom box where shows connected device, click e for camera you want to access, your camera will open on NVRs ip address and port starting 10080 if using Chrome or Edge normal then press e for second camera it will open 10081 and works, so if not using IE them make sure to click camera you don't want to access first so the second one opens one you do. If forget then just log out and back in and do it again.
Be Safe.
