One other note, it is definitely not humid here. This is west Texas and the humidity right now is in the 30% range.

Understand I was just saying as I do have that issue where I am at.. Some nights before it goes bad my camera can look like that for a moment some of my cameras are Heated and fan driven so they clear up after a set time.. So I mention that...

With your dark picture I am going to guess as I said yesterday when posting the pictures after taking mine apart that it could be a reflection from are part that hangs down.. Not that you would want to but another thing you could do in a Pinch and not really that bad looking if kept in just the area in front of the camera and that is to use some Flat Black paint to spray that lip... Front of the area can stay the same color point out to the street seeing the IR don't curve around and up...

So for me I would mask the camera, front facing out, and spray the area right in front of the camera while it wold be noticeable if someone was looking for it. I am sure it wouldn't bring anymore attraction to your camera then the camera itself... An Idea

Davebray131, is your IR setting set to AUTO? I should have asked you as well, if there are outside lights on close to where that camera is mounted. That glare may not be from the IR but caused by incandescent light reflection.

Something else you might try: At night with the IR illumination switched OFF, walk in front of the camera with a flashlight or view a distant visible light source and see if you get that blooming effect.
If so, you might have a bit of humidity trapped inside the camera that is condensing on the imager or the lens.

Thats another penalty for cracking open the seal to install an SD card... chances are you arent opening it up in a clean room, or one with a really good dehumidifier.

On a slight tangent -- An SD card doesnt add much to the cost of a camera so it might be possible to get Amcrest to have the option of a factory-instaled memory card. That way you get what the company recommends to work, and you dont have to break the seal yourself.

Even an install like this wil fail night vision, and the wider the lens, the more reflections it picks up.
Solution would be to add a piece of wood beneath the mounting ring equal to the thickness of the soffit dressing.

IF that camera was high enough you would be able to point it down enough to keep the Reflections down.. Sadly even this picture shows the camera to be behind a LIP and would have to be painted Flat black or as I said in my past post build a Frame that is think enough to make the camera flush or just below the lip area..
