Is there a tutorial on this camera showing how to wire the leads to accommodate a external mic and speaker. There are 3 wires group together and labeled audio, Red-audio out, White-Audio in, Black-Audio GND. The wires are without any type of connectors on them, I.e RCA.. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Well, guess I am not the only that doesn't know how, shocking. Somebody has got to know.

Well that is odd I thought I posted a Reply
So here is how you need to look at this so you can get around it..
Audio Out is Speaker
Audio In is Mic
Ground is Shared between the 2
So then it comes down to what type of mic or speaker you will use to how you want to connect this.. Then you will have to make adjustments in your cameras settings to make it so they work.. Just connecting this will not make them work in the Camera without changes in the Settings area for audio and recording for both Video and Audio
Audio out you will want to connect to a speaker system either Amp driven or without as long as the Speaker is good enough to work with low impedance... This will be connected with your Red and black in that audio 3 wire set.. Then a Mic will connect to the White wire and if you use say the Golf ball mic it comes with 3 wires, One for powering the Mic, Then White would go to the Cameras White and black to the Black of the AUdio wires... This Mic some people get a RCA jack and solder in to white and black then piggy off black for power of the little mic... While this setup isn't really Ideal it works..
Another way is finding an older Amp that was used for PA's that have Screw Terminals.. Then it would be just Speaker to speaker and mic to mic with shared ground and normally would have a jumper that goes from one ground to the other for 1 ground wire setups...

Kinda would like a all in deal, Would something like this work? Thanks for the info, I will study your instructions, then install something.
Re: I need instructions on how to install a mic and speaker on the IP4M-1053EW
Yes that could work as well... So here is what you would want to do.. Or what I would do anyway...
Take 3 wires Connect 1 Audio Out Wire to RCA Male (They do sale ones with screw on type to make connection)
Connect 1 Audio In wire to RCA Male
Connect 2 Black wires or any wires that match for each other for ground and connect them to the black wire on the camera and connect 1 each to the Ground area for the RCA Audio in and out respectfully...
Plug them into the Mic in to in out to out then connect MIC to power 12v..

One more question please! Will it be possible to place a poe splitter at the camera to power the mic/speaker combo.
Re: I need instructions on how to install a mic and speaker on the IP4M-1053EW
I have heard of it being done. However that camera may not like being split for power. While that mic don't take much for power the camera does i would pull power to mic. Normal poe camera on splitter is 1 thing

Re: I need instructions on how to install a mic and speaker on the IP4M-1053EW
I saw the above but how would I connect this to the NVR and record audio along with video. I bought an external Mic at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002S ... UTF8&psc=1 and splitter at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003U ... UTF8&psc=1. I would hook the audio out from the mic to White wire for Audio In. I would also of course hook up the 12v Adaptor to the mic for power. But would the audio in on the camera transmit to the NVR over the ethernet POE cable? Thanks.
