Could you please reset the camera by holding the reset button on the wire coming out of the back of the camera for 30 seconds? Try to update firmware after this and see if it goes through.

Update: I have a second ip3m952e bullet cam. its a brand new, unused camera. same error, whats wrong with this firmware file?

and the checkbox "update configure file" has no effect, all attempts failed.

Hello skoenig ,

Not sure why it does not work for you. We have tested it today on our IP3M952E and it worked just fine. We used smart client and the update option under maintenance. If the cam is connected to router with a very long Ethernet cable , try a shorter one for update.

Hi Melvin, LAN cable was indeed long. Tried it with a shorter one, no success. Kaspersky is disabled too. I'm very frustrated with this situation, so please give me further instructions/ solutions. One of my 2 cameras is brand new out of box.

Did you try this from a windows computer or MAC? Try on Windows computer if that has not been tried.

wait a minute? We are not supposed to connect our cameras to the 8 ports on the NVR?

I believe to update the camera firmware, you should connect the camera directly to your network.

How do you actually go about checking the firmware version on the cameras and updating the firmware? I looked for instructions, but haven't found them.
