Hi Raheel--thanks for the update.
Not sure if it's just something on my end but ever since I installed the latest camera firmware (see above) I am no longer able to remotely view video incidents on my phone--I am receiving the notifications on my phone no problem but when I select them in order to view the video incident in the Amcrest phone app, the app reports back "No Recording". I know the recording is there on the SD card because I can view it via the Amcrest web app on my computer.
Could this be an issue with the 16R firmware, or that I'm running Amcrest phone app version 0053 instead of 0056, or a combo of both? Also--updating the firmware on my cameras to 16R has apparently made it near-impossible to view previously-existing video that was recorded to SD card in DAV format under the older firmware (old DAV video playback via web interface is very choppy but subsequent video recordings in MP4 format play back smoothly under 16R firmware).
AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
Update--another coincidental anomaly I noticed with the 16R firmware is that for whatever reason the timestamps of the Amcrest app push notifications were no longer being displayed in military time; furthermore, since these timestamps didn't show AM or PM, it was not possible to readily tell upon quick glance if the reported event occurred during the day or night.
Anyways I downgraded the camera firmware back to 11R--coinicidentally enough push notification timestamps now display in military time again, AND I am once again able to remotely view reported video events via the Amcrest app (which BTW was running the same app version 0053 before/after I did the firmware upgrade/downgrade exercise). Also--landscape mode still works on my phone after I downgraded back to 11R so apparently the newer firmware may not have been responsible for why landscape started working again on my phone.

Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
Well I HAD the landscape issue on my wife's Iphone 6 but resolved it although I don't know what I did. So... here's how it went down.
I tried everything that I read on the boards here....uninstall, re-down load app, make sure IOS is up to date ect. Nothing worked. Her phone would go into landscape in amcrest view software before I added the camera then would not. Tech support was great and said they were aware of the issue and trying to come up with a work around...so I left it alone. But then I though...Maybe I should download the latest firmware on the camera IMP2 1080 B . So I did....then the Amcrtest could video would not show on the web...not from my home pc or the office pc at work....just a message that said, "loading live view" which never came. So back to tech support...they advised they recommend a "Hard Reset" of the camera after an firmware update. So I did that and added the camera back to the network and then P2P my phone and tablet and planned to do the same to my wife's phone when she got home. Cloud worked great my phone worked great and when my wife got home....HERS DID TOO! it would go into landscape!!! I did nothing to her phone or the app on her phone... When I updated the firmware and did the hard rest I named it the exact thing and same password before and her phone seemed to not know the difference and recognized the camera without having to add the camera back . SO what I would recommend to folks having this issue is to 1. update the firm ware, 2. Hard reset 3. add the camera via Ethernet to your router... name the camera the exact same name and same password and cross your fingers. Good luck!

Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
Jon1503--that's great to hear; FWIW I am not 100% convinced that the landscape issue may be due to an issue with older camera firmware (or if it is, then it apparently occurs under a very unique set of circumstances); in my other post above I noted that I can get landscape mode to work even with my cameras running the older 11R firmware instead of the current 16R firmware--the only difference being that when I added my cameras to the app via P2P I did not scan them in via QR but rather, I manually typed in the cameras' serial numbers. Hopefully Amcrest can fix this when they release the latest version of their iPhone app software.
Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
I agree with tonester about the issue not being related to an older version of the firmware. All three of my Amcrest IPM-721S cameras are using the original firmware that came with them. I have never updated the firmware on any of them.
That being said, everything worked flawlessly on my iPhone 6s and my wife's iPhone 6 running all the older versions of the app until we updated to version 0053. After version 0053 of the app came out, neither of our iPhones would allow the app to rotate the view into landscape for full view. However, a friend of mine who had an iPhone 5S, running version 0053 of the app, COULD still rotate the view into landscape.
This alone suggested to me that it was not the camera's firmware that was at issue, but something had changed in the newer version of the app for the iPhone 6 and 6S, and possibly the newer iPhone 7, since the issue did not show up on older models of the iPhone.
It was not until I removed the app completely from both of our iPhones, re-loaded it, and then used the P2P method and inputting everything manually that I was able to get our iPhones to work. Nothing else was done except that. We are still running version 0053 of the app and the cameras are still running the same original version of the firmware. And now both iPhones can rotate into full view via landscape.
Since my issue with rotating into landscape view are fixed, there is no way I am going to update my cameras firmware, or update the app, until this known issue with the app is fixed. The tech reps from Amcrest who have posted to this thread know about the problems, and they have said they can replicate them. They are trying to fix the issues, which is great, and hopefully they will get it sorted out, which I am sure they will.

Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
CJ7VFR--makes one think that perhaps the app can't play 100% nice with iPhone 6 and newer due to *advanced* processor and/or graphics hardware in iPhone 6 and later models, from a coding standpoint. After all, there was a model generation change from 5S to 6...
Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
Guys, everyone knows that the question about the cost of developing applications is very strange, since it is accepted to understand that the cost of the application depends on the country of the producer. The farther from the United States, the cheaper, the worse the quality, but in practice everything is not quite right. And that's why: https://www.cleveroad.com/blog/mobile-a ... e-best-one
Re: AmcrestView Pro iPhone app doesn't rotate into landscape anymore??
I, too, had been having trouble changing my iPhone pictures and video orientation to “landscape”, so I went on You Tube to get the answer… there are few times when I can’t find answers on You Tube; hence, You Tube is an excellent source for even the most mundane questions.
The solution to the landscape problem is a simple one. But before I go there, here is the explanation why some previous techniques or functions worked and then they don’t on our phones… it is the upgrades or updates… and it drives us all nuts.
When Apple, or its competitors, upgrades their operating system, previous functions are affected, either intentionally and planned or it was unintended but the result of the upgrade. Programmers try very hard to minimize errant, unintended and extraneous changes with their phones, but due to the nature of electronics and programing, it is impossible to not change something and not have it inadvertently affect a previous feature.
Now, onto the landscape problem:
1. Press your home screen button
2. From that same screen, swipe up which will reveal a control center
3. You will find an icon with an arrow curved around a lock… that is the toggle switch for your vertical and landscape mode
