Sadly even with a Good 17.5v at the camera, If that isn't constant after a button is pushed then you would or could loose connection. Is this with IR on or in normal use? Just keep in mind that the LED that is on the button can be turned off in the app, but it honestly takes less power to lit the LED around the button then any other function of the camera.. The odd thing is that there is a Voltage Drop out when the Button is pressed and if it only read 14v that seems little odd. While it should be rather fast and might be that your Meter isn't fast enough to get the true but when button is pressed there should be almost nothing showing across the 2 pins because in a since there is a SHORT between the 2 pins at this point to move power from what I will say A to B to send power to your doorbell..
Another thing and hate to say could be a Network issue caused by Congestion on your network. Could be that the Router has slow processor or low ram.. I mean I have some TP-Link Routers that are older and if one looks up the data on them these ones have 1/2 the ram and is only a dual core where my Main Router is a Quad Core and 2 times the Ram. Even this router has some issues that I can cure with a Reboot every so often.
AD110 - frequent reconnects/reboots
Re: AD110 - frequent reconnects/reboots
Hi James,
There are a few things we can be certain of.
1. The camera works fine and has sufficient power when the door chime is not connected in series. This is currently how i have left if connected and it works perfectly. It doesn't reboot at all, it works when the door bell is pressed and it works with night vision (IR) switch on.
2. I doubt it is a network issue as you would experience this issue regardless of whether the Chime is connected to the Door bell or not. My home network is rock solid, Im running unifi AP and a unifi gig switch. The traffic shouldn't be reaching my router but for what its worth im using a high end FritzBox. im also constantly streaming media from my door bell to my NAS without issue.
3. Regarding the door bell re-booting. It does this without pressing the door bell. I can simply connect it up, wait till it connects to the Wifi then wait 10 seconds and i lose connection again. So the re-booting is independent of the door bell being pressed.
I was hoping it was a case of insufficient current being supplied and i just need to purchase another Power supply, but these specifications listed by Amcrest are not easy to find in Australia.
Whats your thoughts?
Thanks again

Re: AD110 - frequent reconnects/reboots
Sorry use button press as a moment of issue as it can be ok until the moment however the Transformer is overworking to keep things going. So use button press as a way for the camera to have that little extra moment that it is removed from power to be enough to make it unhappy..
If things are working and it don't reboot then I would keep things as they are and things should be good. Also use Uni AP, I have not used it for a while because I have been connected via cable however tree damaged my yard and killed my gig lan connection from the back 40 to the house so I broke out my Colo m2.. Sadly even with full bars I have issues from time to time with connection to my PTZ cameras in the back. I have to remember that it is no longer on wire and wait for my connection to come back.. At first thought it might be because I use P2P for my connection and even with an Direct connection over IP I will be in the middle of swinging my camera around and nothing lol, yesterday It even spun 2 times around 360 degrees only thing I can think of is the connection was lost but was still getting the RS485 in lag form lol..
All my things in the normal network area is solid. After it warms up this spring I will repair or replace my PVC and cables that are running to the back.. As good as my M2 is and the Perfect line up I might be in just to large of a Wifi traffic area to keep a good connection. It will be good for days and then the next day it will be a hit and miss kind of day.

Re: AD110 - frequent reconnects/reboots
Well ive purchase a 2nd power supply / transformer within the specification stated by Amcrest and still i receive the same issue.
The power supply output is 17V AC 50VA.
Doorbell and chime worked once or twice then the device reboots itself.
The ticket i had open with Amcrest is essentially being ignore so im now trying to get a refund.
The costs ive incurred on the two power supplies ill have to suck up but will they cover the shipping cost given that im in Australia?
Also does anyone know if Amcrest is a US based company or not? Support i receive from the US in the past has always been very customer focused.

Re: AD110 - frequent reconnects/reboots
Sorry your having issues.. Yes Amcrest the Company is Based in Texas USA. Sadly it is hard to say what or why something isn't working...
Oddly if connected and it works but then after some use it fails there sounds to be a Supply issue. 1 how far is the Power supply from the Camera? 2 what type and size of wire are you using?
What I know from mine anyway.. I can power 2 of same transformer, I can get generally 2 pushes of the button with a 10 second Digital chime one right after the other, then on the 3rd at times it will pass and other it will fail and reboot that is most times with IR on with IR off 3 or 4 on the 7 second setting When mine fails I know it isn't power supply because my first one that is connected Stand alone is still active.
So I did some testing and made a Video but sadly the camera I used didn't work when I tried to play back the video it died in early part of video so what I found didn't Record.. However I will do another one soon. Winter storm right now so will have to be as soon as that clears up.. However in this test I had the 16.5vac 38va power supply connected on 30' of Cat 5 wire of 24awg True Copper wire and yes I will say because it does matter True Copper wire.. When I first connected it I thought for sure it was not going to work at all but I waited and sure enough the camera came online but the Voltage was normally before 17.72, when I connected the camera the Voltage dropped to less then 15vac so I thought for sure it wouldn't work. However after 2 and 1/2 minutes almost 3 the camera came online. Voltage went to 16.21vac. I press the Digital doorbell that I have setup for 7 seconds and after the second press before the doorbell finished the camera led went off and I did answer and lost that feed as well.. That was only 1 camera doorbell.. That is only 30' and there was not enough power to keep the camera going... I have 16awg, 18awg and 20 awg testing as well but sadly as I said before the first test was done the camera didn't save footage to the MSD so I wasn't able to show the results.. I will admit I was surprised on 20awg was able to get to 48 feet before it had about the same results. 1 Press, cycle doorbell on the second press answered got a couple of words in camera went offline 40 feet I was able to do 2 presses talking on second one for 20 seconds like one might do, Hi, They say something and you are like ok be right there was in the 20 second total range, and was fine wasn't until 48 that had an issue at 20awg... 100' for 16awg, 3 presses and last press after 3rd doorbell 7 run time system reboot that is about as expected on 100 of 16awg thought it would have been little better but no it let me down lol...
Maybe Try doing a Reset at the Camera Button and setup again and see if that cures anything.
