If you have an Amcrest DVR or any Onvif DVR or NVR that has IP camera connection you can connect the Doorbell for constant recording.. Just keep in mind for now it isn't advised to make any Configuration changes to the doorbell over another device Keep all Config to the Amcrest Smart Home app to be safe..
I have connected this to Amcrest 960h, and CVI DVR's using one of the systems IP channels. I also used a Non Amcrest 16ch DVR using one of it's Ip Channels and now I have it connected to the Amcrest NV4108 NVR full time myself.

@junkcricket, i have an older amcrest nv2104 and it works quite well with the ad110 doorbell. it records both regular and motion detected 24x7 hence nothing is missed. i have to change one of my amcrest ip camera's tcp port to make way for the doorbell's default 37777 tcp port since i'm not touching the doorbell's default tcp port assignment.
here's a screenshot from the nvr.

Re: AD110 Doorbell event download from micro sd
I bought this camera last week and have it installed and working at my front door. This replaced a dying SkybellHD that I have had for over a couple of years.
I installed a microSD card today and am able to confirm that recordings are getting saved (checking from the phone app). In the "microSD Card" tab (in the app) clicking on the list (3 small lines next to the date of the recording), opens up the list of videos saved and I am able to export the video to the Camera/Photo roll (in iOS). Looks like this is now implemented.

yes ability for non-cloud storage subscribers to download videos to the cellphone was implemented with the smart home app v3.5.0 release.

Bought the AD110 here in the UK, and got it all set up yesterday - pretty painless (other than having to open up device AFTER i put it on wall to get the QR code and S/N).
SD card inside it, app on the phone allows you to see recorded motion etc. Also have my QNAP NAS (Synology will do the same), so its permanently recording to there - can't find any way yet to only record motion but will keep trying.
