@KarlHungus53, Amcrest better come up with a way to recover all of the AD110's without physical access. IF not then they need to start over from scratch.. Also Amcrest administrative server access feels a bit like I am just renting this device and they have complete control/video access. How about they make these devices have a mode to exist without Amcrest servers. Use DDNS with UPNP so the app can talk local or remote directly to the device.

Mine just went down as well. Woke up this morning and it is offline in the app. Pushing the button rings the chimes so I know its not a power issue. WTF??? Maybe I should have gotten the ring after all! Doing a factory reset is not a solution either, you hear me Amcrest? They must be fuddling with backend server stuff to cause this for all of us. Mine never went down except my app couldn't play the videos from the SD after the FW update. Karma I guess!

Oh well its now just a doorbell.

I say flood their FB page with complaints. That may get their attention.

Can we get Amcrest Smart Home support to put something on this thread that is helpful? Let us know what is going on before we all throw in the towel on the AD110. The product will not survive with all of the bad press on the forum, Facebook and Amazon reviews. And it will be of your own making...

the doorbell could not have rebooted remotely because if that was the case then my nvr recordings would have a gap when the doorbell was rebooting. i don't think there is an option to downgrade the firmware once a firmware update is done.

I too would love to see an actual Amcrest representative participate in this forum. The site administrator @James.S used to participate but I see that he hasn't posted anything since April 11. There are also no forum moderators, from what I can tell. (User handles have a different color identifying their role).

The administrator has the ability to issue a global or thread-specific announcement in this forum. That would be a responsible way to alert us of service outages and ETA to resolution.

Not sure flooding FB with complaints will be all that effective in getting attention. I think Amazon review comments would be a lot more effective since that is how these devices are usually purchased. Unfortunately, only one review (1-star) the past few weeks made any mention of the SH service outage. (Suggest clicking on "helpful" on his post can raise it higher, or submit your own review).

If James.S is healthy and still employed maybe sending a PM to him to ask for Amcrest participation would get some attention too.

@amcrest168 I just scrubbed my timelines and at 6/23 and 6/16 I had a reboot occur at exactly 2am EST which triggered the IR reboots. Very strange that it happened exactly at the same time?!?!

@revo2maxx - I appreciate you trying to reach out to your contacts at Amcrest. Working from home is new normal, so not being in the office shouldn't be an issue to administer and participate in this forum. So if not James, who then?

Contact their CEO? Not kidding! their mission statement is not being met and is actually laughable in respect to our experience with SmartHome service and support...
We distinguish ourselves by an unrelenting commitment to excellence in terms of our product software, hardware and support. We spend months, even years, developing and testing each product before release to ensure it works as it should and we continue to improve our products after release through firmware updates to enhance features, simplicity, reliability and security.

If there is one thing we have learned over the years, it is that customers will not hesitate to let you know what you're doing right, and what you're doing wrong. It is primarily due to this very fact that Amcrest was born. Therefore, every piece of feedback we get is treated as constructive criticism, and acts as a system of checks and balances in order to make our products and services better, easier, and more relevant to our customers. The idea here is that without our customers, we would not exist.

well said. poorly executed.

So yesterday around 5 pm my doorbell now shows offline(no wifi) in the software. Whats perplexing to me is Unify still shows a dhcp address and great signal. I kicked it form the network and it reconnected just fine but the app still shows down. I run a separate RTSP feed to Blue Iris and its clearly still working. This makes me think there is clearly something wrong with the devices checking into Armcreast home site or firmware issues on the device. I haven't updated lately. Ive done two firmware updates, one when I bought it and one a month or so ago. So unless its happened on its own,id say this issue exist on Armcrest side.
