Hello All,
Just installed a Amcrest IP8M-VD2793EW at my location a few weeks back and have found for some reason with two occurances that the video feed will be totally black and when attempting to remote in via WebUI, the UI shows an odd labeling of "com.Login" instead of "submit". And Instead of the splash title of "IP Web Camera Access" its just blank. Unable to access it with any logins...just acts nonresponsive.
So far its seems to resolve itself after a hard power cycle, but worried its something indicative of a larger issue maybe.
Has this come up before? Perhaps try reflashing the firmware to clear whatever it is out? Thoughts?
Thanks!

Re: Amcrest IP8M-VD2793EW, No Video Feed, com.Login
Hello and Welcome to the forum
So sounds like one of a couple of things. 1 could be a Communications issue related to a bad connection, This could be bad cable or bad networking port.
Also could be an issue with h.265 being used and not h.264h or some other lower encoding method with the current connection type again could be this on top of the first issue. If you are using very thin or soft cased Ethernet cable it could be that it is CCA and CCA isn't good for powering cameras ot long runs and there is a lot of people in the Internet right now for the last few years that is pushing CCA because it is so cheap.
Good cables can get kinked and damaged as well. Just some ideas from things I have run into myself.

Thanks for heads up for some things to check. Sorry probably should have added some more overall setup details for troubleshooting.
The setup layout is Asus router AX11000, going to a long run (75ish feet) out to the garage into a NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged PoE+ Switch (GS308PP) - with 8 x PoE+ @ 83W. From there is a short 20ft cable run to the camera itself under the awning of the roof.
Also off this same Netgear PoE switch is a IP8M-T2599EW dome camera, and IP8M-2496EW-V2 bullet camera with same lengths of cable run form the Switch and have worked flawlessly so far.
Its very weird that I would have basically flawless uptime from day of install to like 13 days in...have the first occurance, then another week or so in, and this now second occurance with the odd "no video" and garbled webUI.
Will attempt to eyeball it after swapping to one of the other camera points (and vis versa to see if one of the other cameras will trigger in this same way) as one way to troubleshoot it. And of course more than likely reflash the firmware just for heck of it.
*Cableing is all fresh run of cat 6 solid copper (specifically Monoprice Cat6 Ethernet Bulk Cable - Solid, 550MHz, UTP, CMR, Riser Rated, Pure Bare Copper Wire, 23AWG, 500ft, White, (UL)).

Hmm looking into firmware reflash, currently running the following which was latest when I first installed it in early January:
Software VersionV2.800.00AC001.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-12
WEB VersionV3.2.1.880675
ONVIF Version19.06(V2.6.1.845551)
S/NAMC077D45243B70EE1
And just noticed the following posted right a bit after install:
V2.820.00AC001.0.R
1/13/23
Who knows, maybe solve the issue, no change log though to know what the difference is. Crossing fingers.
