dang. I just received a 4108 and ready to plug it in.
Any suggestions on NOT what to do? Do all 4108's have this problem?
NVR keeps on rebooting itself
Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
Hi, all
Yesterday my Unit had updated by the could and the last update was success. Now I reboot my unit with DHCP and/or Static IP with good DNS and the NVR not reboot indefinitely. So I think the last Update fixed that issue.
Any other user got the the last firmware automaticaly? Maybe we need to reboot the unit and accept the update manualy.
My firmware info
Ssytem Version 3.200.AC00.0
Build Date 2016-03-30
WEB 3.1.0.5
SoftVersion 10002

Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
what update are you referring to? According to the website there has been no update for the 4108 since last September.

No I just reboot my unit, and they ask me to update my device, so I say yes and the update progress bar was be done and then my unit reboot. Now my Network are on DHCP and my network Cable are plugged and no reboot.
Also all port needed are open on my router.
under SoftVersion, do you have 10002?

Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
I confirmed it as well, Amcrest made a server-side permissions or firmware file modification. My unit successfully updated from "SoftVersion 10001" to "SoftVersion 10002" ... the reboot issue has been resolved. I may go ahead a put the firewall blocks back in just for the fear that it could happen again next week.
Melvin, any idea if this is something that can happen again in the future or did they modify the code so that it doesn't panic reboot? Also, any idea when we should expect a firmware upgrade for additional compatibility or features?

Hello,
We will ensure that the issue is not repeated. The new firmware have enhanced the stream capacity of the NVR.

Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
I bought the 7204 about 6 months ago and recently it started rebooting intermittently. I installed a 2TB hardrive, but that was months ago so I didn't figure that was the problem. The log said something like failure [0x00]. A call to the tech line did not help. Yes I already checked my connections, power supply (UPS) and settings. Anyway I saw where someone said to put in a larger power supply and showed a link to a power supply box. I didn't install a power box, but this is what I found that worked for me.
7204 has a small power adapter 12v 2 amp which goes directly to the NVR and another power brick for the cameras. I replaced the 2 amp power adapter with a 12v 3 amp power adapter from an old computer. Its been two weeks now without a reboot.
I know this is a different model, but if this helps anyone then great.

Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
This is apparently a problem yet again. Our system started the reboot cycling about 30 minutes ago. We unplugged the Ethernet which fixed it, but when do we get a real fix and why is this happening yet again? At least we were home....

Apparently you have not succeeded in this....Melvin wrote:Hello,

Re: NVR keeps on rebooting itself
Is there a solution for this?
