I made the mistake of upgrading the firmware of my NV4108E-HS to version V4.000.AC000 (dated 5/21/20)
On the bright side, there is no longer a need for the Easy Viewer chrome plugin to access the Web GUI.
However, I have lost a key feature -- the ability to send snapshots as an attachment via email when Motion is detected.
Curremtly, when motion is detected, the NVR dutifully sends an email. But NO ATTACHMENT is attached.
Anybody knows how to get this fixed with the new firmware? This used to work perfectly with the old firmware.
- I tried to downgrade the firmware, but that fails.
- I saved a backup on the config, did a factory reset of the NVR, then imported the backed-up config. this did not fix the problem.
I have attached a screenshot of my ALARM -> VIDEO DETECTION --> Motion Detect page.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: V4.000.AC000 firmware no longer sends snapshot with email
So it is hard to say why it isn't working.. I am going to guess that it might have something to do with the Image size or maybe the Quality setting...
What is your image setting? What is the Quality setting? I would try changing to 3 or 4 max..
Then while I have not checked Push since I did an update to the new 2020 FW I just did for the first time because of your message.. I have had it turned off my 2116-hs because I was using a different lower quality camera for snapshots form a different system...
However turning on that Image even after the Update I still get a Push of a short Video clip... I don't mind really it is best because rather then seeing a picture of maybe nothing I get the full from in view of my camera video and it is VERY Fast...
I have my NVR setup to my Phone over P2P and right now I am not even connected to my local Network and before the car that went by was done being out of my Screen I had an alert on my phone of the motion alert... About this setup.. I feel it is more secure then having your IMage or video clip going over the web between your home, to your mail server to your in box and then back to your system... With a P2P connection and a Push the image is going from your camera, to your NVR to your phone and sure there is a Server that is listening to your cameras I am alive but there is no data going to that server just to your phone... SO it is Really FAST as well...

Re: V4.000.AC000 firmware no longer sends snapshot with email
So I did a Fast and Video of a Push this car was going faster then most times and normally I can get a Notice before the car is out of frame this time it was shortly after the car was out of frame.. When I went to load it did take a little bit for it to get loaded seeing I have my Phone on my Cell Network and not my Personal Wifi network... So even though I was at home this was just like I was away from home using out of my own home network connection.. Now there might be times that it will not be this fast and that might be because your in an area that has bad cell service and it might be slower.. I have yet to have any lag in any of my Notices from any of my Machines.. I only use Amcrest and my Dahua Machines on P2P my Hikvision I don't like the service seeing you have to Sign up for P2P to work and I just had a Bad feeling about that so I have a few of my DVR's rolling over to my other machines to get notices on some of the cameras from my DVR's Sorry about the Quality of my Webcam it is a 1080p action cam that I am using as a web cam and the FOV is very wide so to try and keep down of all the junk in the background I had to have it really close to my phone lol... But it gives you an idea... Sadly there is no Email that will get an Alert that fast..
So for me using the Push has 2 main advantages and the biggest is the Speed of Notice and the second is that P2P is from your NVR or Camera to your Phone there is no storage on a email server or any other server where it might be Hijacked...

@Revo2Maxx thanks for your reply.
But no, Image Quality settings did NOT make a difference. I tried all quality settings, from 1 through 6.
Again, let me point out that this all used to work just fine before.
Something in the new firmware has broken this feature.
I have sent support email to Amcrest, haven't received a reply yet.

Re: V4.000.AC000 firmware no longer sends snapshot with email
Understand.. Sorry I was just trying to help give a sure way to get motion on alerts... Email is and has been a JOKE in all systems from Amcrest, Dahua, my Hikvision they all have been no good and even to the point that I had to buy my own Email server in Aug 2019 I have since gave up the idea of sending emails canceled my colocation service and I now do only Push and push has been 100% spot on on every Alert.. As seen in my Very short video of less then 2min the car is just out of Frame before it was alerting my phone. Then in a few seconds it took to switch over to my view to my phone I showed back the footage that shows the scene as it was recorded and that is why I promote the Push plus it is easier for me to Manage..
However when you have as many cameras and systems that I do I guess it can be little overwhelming to have laods and loads of emails on days like today that it is so windy that all my systems alarms are going off and I have paused all alarms beside the one in my Shed seeing it works off Door Sensors and will not turn on without a second trigger action..

Re: V4.000.AC000 firmware no longer sends snapshot with email
As instructed by Amcrest support I did factory reset (no config restore and backup). That solved my problem.
To do factory reset --
OPERATION --> SYSTEM MAINTAIN --> DEFAULT
Ensure all checkboxes are checked.
Choose "Factory Default"
Thankfully my individual cameras retained their settings (name, sensitivity, threshold etc) but I did have to go through manually restoring all of the other NVR settings
Now it works correctly
