some sort of P2P issue going on?

Post by prondeau »

Yesterday morning while viewing one of my cams remotely with surveillance pro, the camera suddenly went offline and I haven't been able to see it since. I have two cameras and they both stopped working at the same time in the ArmcrestViewPro2 phone app but I continue to get push notifications. I can connect if I am on my home network and I use the IP address but P2P is listed as offline in the camera settings. I've gone through all the settings in my xfinity router and can't find any reason why this wouldn't work so at this point I'm wondering if its on the P2P server side. I'm leaving for vacation in 1 day and want to be able to keep track of a building project going on in my backyard while i'm gone.

I'm having the same issues. i think Amcrest shut off older devices from using the P2P server.

I have a NV4216-AI on firmware from 2022.

Wireshark shows it connecting to the P2P server, and the server rejecting the connection based on my serial number.

Kind of a crappy thing to do.

If I have to replace my DVR, Amcrest will not be one of the choices.

I don't think that's it. I've got two cameras that aren't working. the first is 2 years old, the second I just bought last week.

People who are reading this. If you are having the same issues, respond and tell us. I want to know if it's just a few devices or hundreds of devices affected.

Same here... can only connect with iOS app when I am home on same network, then when it connects cameras all disappear and network not available notice. However on my monitor connected to NVR system is fine for viewing.

Same problem. I have 3 sites. Site 1 - 4 cameras working. Site 2 - 6 cameras working. Site 3 - 6 working, 6 not working. Cameras working range from very old to very new. No correlation to sw rev. If you check the TCP/IP setting on the P2P tab, the camera’s not working show P2P offline. I submitted a report. No response.

Three of my 15 cams are in P2P status offline since 6/25. Not coming back even with factory reset. Able to view cams using ipconfig.
