Problems connecting remote cameras via IP

I recently upgraded our NVR to NV5432E-16P-EI. The last one was the victim of a lightning strike so I don’t have access to the settings. I have two Amcrest cameras in a garage, hooked up to a POE switch, then coming into the main cruising via an Ethernet cable. That cable goes into one of our routers and is not directly connected to the NVR. When I search for cameras, both show up with IP addresses, but when I add them to the camera list they show up with red lights and no video. I’m sure there is a setting I am missing but can’t remember how I got it to work with the old NVR. Any suggestions? I have checked the cameras themselves and they are working.
