Partial / Corrupt Snapshots

Post by shaunhey »

Similar to a previous post from 2019, I am having issues with partial snapshots from some of my cameras. I am using mostly IP8M-2493's with an NV2108-HS. Regardless of whether I use a web browser or curl, I get a partial image on some channels. For example, channels 1 and 2 return full frame images, channel 3 returns a partial frame, channel 4 times out and doesn't return anything. All 4 of these cameras are running the same (latest) firmware.

Anyone else run into something like this?

Example URL: http://192.168.0.20/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?channel=3

Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to mention, the result is the same whether I use the URL pointing to the NVR, or change the URL to point to the camera (and channel=1). So I'm assuming the NVR is just passing through the request to the camera, and it is probably the camera at fault. Reboot of the camera has not helped, either.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum..

So I am not 100% if we are talking about the same issue. However when I had my 2116-HS that I gave away last year local to me, I had my 1046EW-AI camera that would return every so often 1/2 a photo and the other half was green?

For me I am not 100% sure what cured it, However I did change the h.265 to h.264h on both main and sub streams. I also changed ports on my POE Switch and not sure but I think I might have changed cable as well. What fixed the issue I am going to guess the change to h.264h and I did up the FPS a little as well.

What was odd is only once or twice I would see on the NVR playback most times not only see it in Email or push images. So little different then your talking about but that is what I did maybe something in there could help with your issue as well..
Be Safe.
