NVR settings for mixed cameras MD or IVS
I have a Ai NVR, 4 cameras are Ai and 2 are not Ai. I want to record and send an alert when motion is detected. The NVR set up options are MD and IVS. Is IVS only for Ai cameras? Is so then should I set Ai cameras to IVS and non Ai cameras to motion detection?

Don't know what AI NVR you have so not sure if the answer will be correct or not..
However here is some things to first check.
One did you have your AI camera setup before you connected to your NVR or did you setup after?
Two, did you happen to setup your NVR's channels for AI to the AI cameras and this removing the 4 built in ones in the NVR?
Three, when you go to the NVR's menu and click on AI under the Parameters, IVS (Camera channel) under type does that say AI by Device or Camera?
Also please note at that page no matter if it is for Device or Camera depending on what your setting up. You will want to make sure when you click Trigger and setup your area and apply (Window will not go away) Press back and make sure to press apply on the main IVS area as what you just setup will be highlighted in blue and needs to be apply there as well for it to take affect if you don't the settings won't take.

Sorry I guess I should have asked what AI NVR you have and kind of did when I said didn't know what you have!? However are you using a A2 or an AI NVR?
Here is why i ask. the A2 AI nvr's don't have 4 built in channels, So I just found out about the A2 versions floating around.. Even though have not seen any for sale on web or Amcrest yet..
An A2 would be like 4116-A2
An AI would be like 4216-AI or within the 42xx range like mine is a 4216E-AI NVR and it has 4 channels of AI built into the NVR that I can connect my non AI cameras to and get Trip Wire and Intrusion alerts. Then connecting my AD410 doorbell it is seen an a AI camera and brings in the Human Detection box. Then the other Ai cameras that I own will load in different things for that camera like Fast Moving, Loitering, Crowd Gathering and things like that from the camera if offered and others..
