NvR 4108E-HS missing Ethernet port 1

Quick question, Anybody Else Seen this the NIC disappeared not disabled but gone. The lights are on but nobodys home

And is there any chance an aftermarket USB module WiFi or Ethernet that works with the board. Some Chinese chipset must be recognized by the board out of the box. Why would they give you the option to choose a NIC. Now I've tried everything I've had laying around.
Besides just throwing it into the pile of dead technology, I'd figure i would try some work around.
1. I'm competent enough and tried mostly everything.
2. If I could fix it cheaply enough to not make unnecessary E -waste.

Where is the NVR connected to? Switch/Hub/Router or computer direct? Have you tried I am sure you already done so but have you tried a new port on what ever it is connected to or new cable?
