I have an Amcrest PoE+ switch downstream of my NVR serving a couple cameras, so I was anticipating being able to use the unused PoE+ ports on the NVR for other things. An access point I tried connecting got power but didnt show up on my local network. Before I start plugging in random things to test further, does anyone know if the NVR's ports are proprietary or something other than unmanaged?
Sorry for another not-in-the-manual question.

Re: NV4108e PoE+ Switch
Lot of things in there I am not sure I follow the Setup...
POE+ Switch
4108E Poe NVR
Poe Cameras
Your trying to connect something into the POE NVR that isn't a Camera?
Or are you trying to connect something to POE+ Switch that isn't a Camera?
NVR might have a Toggle in the Settings that will let things pass though maybe Called a Virtual Host or Dynamic Host. However most times everything on the back side of the NVR is blocked to outside NVR traffic meaning only thing that can access from normal network would be the NVR. However some people put a Switch after the NVR on one of the ports and connect it to the Network as a pass around if you will.. This is good for making camera setup easier then having a POE injector or switch laying around un plug form nvr plug in switch make change then back in nvr... Some times depending on the Switch they have it so nothing works past nvr some do.
