NV4108E-hs HDMI picture quality?

Post by patric »

While most of my NVR operation will be on Firefox or IE browsers, most of the viewing will be on an HDMI monitor.
I was a little surprised that the HDMI picture from my old AHD 750p DVR looks crisper and more fluid than this 4K NVR, despite knowing that they are different technologies. Nevertheless Im not finding any clear references to optimizing HDMI output in the one-size-fits-all NVR manual. Any hints on improving this?
Thanks.

While I am not going to say this is your issue. I can only say that when I Hook my 4108 to my 4k TV the image looks much better then it does on my 32 or 50" 1080P TV. Larger images for 1 and i see while I don't have any 4k cameras I did notice that some noise that shows on the smaller 1080P tv is less on the 65" 4k tv.. Where I thought for sure it would be the other way around.

A 4K monitor is definitely in my future, but I thought there would be some NVR settings specific to the HDMI output.

The settings on the output could make your NVR no longer work for your device and without a larger TV i wouldn't play with the settings more then what your current TV can do...

In your NVR. Under settings, System, Display you will have resolution and that can make it so your NVR don't work if you set it to a output that your TV don't take... Keep that in mind.. I had mine set to high and I had to go put it on my 4k TV to get it back to a setting that I can use on my current Monitor. Without my 4K tv I would have had a Brick lol

Unless im mistaken that wouldnt prevent me from accessing the camera from a browser and re-entering the settings it forgets. Yes/no?
