monitor hook up

i already have an 8 channel system hooked up, however i do not have it hooked up to a monitor...i just use the app on my phone..There is not a tv near my dvr..do I need to purchase a small tv to use or could I use some sort of a wireless hdmi to use with a tv in another room?
