Monitor attached to DVR is stuck on tour of cameras

Post by BillsBayou »

I turned something on that has my monitor touring through the channels. I think the menu screen said "Video Status" but I cannot find that in the manual. What I remember doing is enabling the feature, it had a list of cameras it would display as well as a couple 4x4 matrix options, it had the delay at 5 seconds, and I selected HDMI as the output.

Ooops.

Now that is the only thing displaying on the monitor. I hooked up a keyboard to the DVR, but the only thing I can do is pause the playback.

I do have access to the DVR through the Android app. I can select any channel and I can use the zoom feature on my zoom cameras.

And yes, I've tried unplugging it.

I am not sure... So I will take a Guess...

There could be a little dot at the top of your screen that might be out of the view of your current monitor setup and if this is the case it might be that you will need to setup your DVR onto a Computer Monitor to turn it off...

However there is on the right top side of the screen something that looks like a button it will be small might have a check mark in it.. If you can see it TOP RIGHT SIDE of screen.. Click it and turn off the Tour... If the screen is over your screen size say you are connected to a monitor of 720 but have it set at 733 or something over the 720p format you might not be able to see it if that is the case you will have to connect to a larger Monitor that will work that Res or a Computer Monitor...

Hello and Welcome to the Forum if I have not said it before
Be Safe.

Not fixed yet. I did change the resolution on the monitor and I did hook it up to a computer monitor via HDMI.

There was a resolution problem that was keeping me from seeing the white border around each channel's display. It was also cutting off the seconds of the time display in the upper right. Now I can see the border, but no dot.

The pause button on my keyboard does pause the channel, but not the feed. When paused, the white border disappears.

Maybe I can do this blind. When the button is clicked, does a pop-up menu appear? If so, maybe I need to use the arrow keys to select the correct option. If you tell me how I might do this blindfolded, maybe I can find my way.

Well on mine it has the little round thing above the time on the full right top.. I am not sure but click it once I think unlocks the thing and click again brings up the menu you will while in the menu want to turn off the tour under System, Display, Tour. Once turned off you should be fine.. Problem is until that is clicked to unlock the menu your locked out... This is kind of a Manager thing from system standpoint and should be better covered to keep people from not having better understanding of the feature before it is active. That is in a Perfect World...

Some times if your screen is out of sorts you will not be able to see or click the button as there is no way without seeing it if it is locked or unlocked Computer monitor and can even be a tv with a Monitor connection could be used or a Higher Res TV then one used but I found a D-Sub is needed in some system as it is just that far out of the system to know where to click
Be Safe.
