I've called Amcrest a few times now, but cannot get an an actual response on how to resolve the issue.
I have 8 Amcrest POE cameras hooked into the 18 port Amcrest PoE Switch. The switch then runs to my PC that is running Amcrest PC-NVR with all cameras set to record motion.
My issue is that when one camera detects motion and then records, it makes all other cameras record at the same time. This obviously takes up a massive chunk of space as four of our cameras constantly have people triggering the motion detection.
Has anyone encountered this issue?
DVR Recording Issues
Re: DVR Recording Issues
It is hard to say but I wonder if maybe someone has setup the Motion Detect to Record the other ch as well as the one that got the Motion... You see there is a way and I have mine setup this way as well.. But there is a way for your say camera 1 start recording on camera 2 to make sure you don't miss anything that might come into view...
So I would look at all the affected channels and under the Camera look at the Video Detect under Event, About 3 item down it should have a Box if there is a CHECK mark in the box and enabled look to see what CH it might be Recording... If it isn't set for the CH it is on then it would Trigger that other camera to record..
So for me I have my Cameras 1 and 3 triggering Ch2 to record when there is motion that way I don't have to worry about Pre Record issue or missing something within view if the person or thing is outside the grid in Ch2 it will already be recording and all things well for me and my setup...
If there is no settings having the trigger I would then look over the Alarm area of the ASP to see if there is maybe a Setting in there as it is hard to say what is causing someones system to act funny without having it in front of me other another to look over settings..
