Can't update firmware on NVR

I purchased a NV4116-A2 NVR several years back and I am trying to update the firmware on the device.

I have downloaded the latest file (Customer_NVR4XXX-4KS2L_Eng_Amcrest-10001_V4.000.00AC001.0.R.210915.bin), however the update fails when I try to install it.

I have tried from the NVR iteself (via a Fat USB stick), from the web interface as well as via the IP Config tool.

When I try to update the firmware, the NVR immediately reboots (regardless of the method I am using to attempt).

The version currently installed on the NVR is: 3.215.00AC000.0.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like that your NVR is a HS and not a A2 the HS is only one I know with Older FW like your showing seeing it was made before the Release of the A2 model and the HS is an older model that almost looks like the A2 just older hardware..

So I would look at the FW for the NV4116-HS and not the A2

It appears as that you were correct. It is the NV4116-HS afterall.

I am going to chalk this one up to Amazon. In my order details, it says the correct model name (NV4116-HS). HOWEVER, the link then goes to the A2 model. I saw the model in the link and assumed that is what I had ordered before....

At ANY rate - I am now running the latest firmware. Thanks so much for that!!!!
