I'm using Surveillance Pro on a Win10 PC. No problem setting up storage or PC-NVR. Cams are IP5M.
I'm having problems figuring out the MD settings for the cams. It appears that I'm better off setting the MD areas directly to the cams, instead of through the Surveillance Pro interface. However, I can't seem to get the browser plug-in to work and so I can't see the cam stream to set it up. Am I missing something? I've tried Firefox and Edge so far with no luck.
I also don't understand the four "channels" of video MD when I use Surveillance Pro. For Region 1, I'm assuming that the highlighted white blocks are the MD sensitive area. But for REGION2 (yellow), it would be the yellow highlighted areas. Am I right? I also can't see how to reset them to their defaults. There's no DEFAULT or RESET button.
At this point, every camera records all the time, even though I definitely have the schedules set for ONLY MD for ALL days and times. Nothing I've done seems to change this. Unfortunately, the videos and articles linked to on this site just sort of wave hands when it comes to the nuts and bolts of setting sensitive areas, setting the sensitivity, etc.
Thanks in advance! I'm going nuts here after only a couple days of working with the cams. (Again, PC-NVR is doing a great job of recording to my HDD...it's just that all cams are recorded all the time.)
Camera records MD continuously: basi questions

Hello and Welcome to the Forum..

It is going to be closer to the end of the video I am going to guess might be the issue.. Around 27.35 in timeline as a way to look and see if that has been set or watch the whole video as it does go over some things that you might find useful.. Like he tells you how to set the grid and how to remove the grids that you also asked about in the video
So what I think is the issue is that maybe you have your setup to record 24/7 and not Motion might be a Scheduling issue or might have been an oversight on turning on Motion...
Personally I Record all things to my Recorders and only send motion and things to my FTP servers this way I have a record of things that I can look over on the alerts side and also go back to data that might be important enough to keep.. I will then Clip and save all data that I feel is needed in my Safe for 3 months and move all data off site after that time for longer..
