I see from other discussions that this has been a question going back seven years.
Has there been any support added for a USB keyboard? I can plug a USB mouse into either the front or back port and it works fine, but a keyboard doesn't work.
Any USB Keyboard Support?
Re: Any USB Keyboard Support?
There is a Very Select few systems that offer a Keyboard as you are thinking of. They are really computer systems designed into a Recorder and cost thousands of dollars.
Most times when you do a search for a Keyboard for CCTV you will get results like my 2 and 3 axis PTZ controllers. Dahua does have one that is almost 3k and most people that offer it don't stock it.. NKB5000 and it isn't really a keyboard in the way your looking and is a 4 axis. Most places that offer it is Special Order for 2782.xx USD.
For use with Keyboard it is best to use IE and the recorders WebUI and or ASP.. The Recorders local GUI is only setup for Mouse and Virtual Keyboards..
