I have Amcrest 1.3-Megapixel (1280 x 960) 8Ch Network POE NVR, been working flawlessly for almost 2 years, but this morning I noticed all four cameras were off. I logged into my smartphone Amcrest Smart View app and I can see all four cameras operating normally. I only had a few minutes to try to troubleshoot the NVR before having to leave for work this morning. I notice under the Event Tab it says "HDD space is insufficient now." and under the System Tab is shows the "Read/Write: 0.00 MB Free Space / 931.40 GB Total Space Status".
Is this indicating my HDD is full? If so, why now after almost two years? Its setup to overwrite old files.
If my HDD is full, will this stop me from viewing my cameras from my monitor anyway? I thought I had "real-time viewing" regardless of full HDD or not.
I don't want to Format my HDD and loss all my settings.
Also, while researching this issue,I read from Amcrest website Additional Guides and Videos (link below), under setup System General Tab, "The HDD will now proceed to overwrite the oldest recordings on the HDD. You should notice that your HDD will eventually reach 0 GB of free space, and will remain at this level indefinitely due to this feature being enabled. "
I'm confused by this statement, if you set the HDD Full to Overwrite, then why will "the HDD will eventually reach 0 GB of free space, and will remain at this level indefinitely due to this feature being enabled. " Doesn't sound like it's actually overwriting.

Will A Full HDD Cause Loss Of Camera's On Moinitor?
Re: Will A Full HDD Cause Loss Of Camera's On Moinitor?
Hi KySky,
All amcrest NVR's by default set into overwrite option when HDD will reach no free space it will not delete complete recording and start over it will overwrite the initial recordings and hold the other recordings that is the reason it will stay on 0 space, It will not affect the cameras live view or settings.

Thanks for the feedback Melvin. I have to admit that the different recording types confuses me. The NVR will delete Complete Recordings and not delete Initial Recordings?
How do I delete/remove these apparent Complete Recordings and how to I keep this from happening again in the future?
