Hi;
I'm hoping that someone may have encountered this issue and can help me resolve it.
Environment:
Windows 10 Pro, 64bit, version 1903, OS Build 18362.719, 32 GB RAM
Cyberoam firewall - CR 15 wiNG, firmware 10.6.6 MR-5 (providing wired and wireless connectivity to systems/mobile-devices in the LAN)
Linksys e1200, firmware - 2.0.08 (configured in bridge mode) connected to Cyberoam firewall DMZ port (i.e. access point for DMZ wifi network), Wireless B/G Only, 20 MHz only
AMCrest IP4M-1051B, Software version - V2.620.00AC000.3.R, Build Date: 2019-12-18, WEB version - 3.2.1.619604, ONVIF version - 16.12(V2.4.1.513183), connected to DMZ Wifi network
AMCrest IP3M-943, connected to DMZ Wifi network (no issues with this device)
Dlink DCS-900, connected to DMZ Wifi network (no issues with this device)
Blue Iris version - 5.3.1.4 x64
Various SONOS products (wireless speakers) connected to my internal Wifi network (i.e not the DMZ Wifi network)
Problem synopsis:
Wifi interference in the DMZ Wifi network and internal (i.e. non DMZ) Wifi network after adding AMCrest IP4M-1051B to my home network - though only when viewing the live stream via a web browser with the AMCrest WebUI or when the camera is enabled in Blue Iris
Problem details:
I have 2 Wifi networks broadcast in my house, we'll call them DMZ and non-DMZ
I have had the AMCrest IP3M-943 and the Dlink DCS-900 connected to the DMZ Wifi network for a couple of years with no issues
All of the SONOS speakers are connected to the non-DMZ Wifi network
The system running Windows 10 is connected via Ethernet cable to the Cyberoam firewall's internal LAN with appropriate firewall rules allowing access to the DMZ from the internal LAN
Until recently there have been no issues with any of the systems/cameras/speakers in any of the networks
Then I added an AMCrest IP4M-1051B to the DMZ wifi network
I connected it to my wired network and configured it so that it could access the DMZ Wifi network, all with no issues
However, upon disconnecting the Ethernet cable and rebooting the camera, shortly thereafter (i.e. as soon as the green light lit up on the camera) I noticed the music streaming on the SONOS speakers dropping out, pausing etc
Then I noticed (in Blue Iris) the other 2 cameras (the IP3M-943 and the Dlink) experiencing connectivity issues (i.e. error connecting errors, no signal errors etc)
I also noticed (in Blue Iris) that as soon as I enabled the new camera (the IP4M-1051B) that the time stamp overlay in the other camera displays (which had been ticking the seconds off one by one) started pausing, meaning that instead of ticking the seconds off one by one, it would pause (on 20 for example) and several seconds later it would "catch up" to 27 or whatever. The second I disabled the new camera in Blue Iris the seconds in the other 2 cameras started ticking off one by one as they had previously
In an attempt to further isolate the scope of the problem I left the new camera disabled in Blue Iris. At this point the 2 other cameras experienced no connectivity issues and the seconds ticked off one by one, also no issues streaming music to the SONOS speakers
Then I connected to the new camera via a browser (i.e. the AMCrest WebUI). As soon as I did I noticed the same timestamp second pause/catch-up experience in Blue Iris and my SONOS speakers began dropping audio, pausing etc
I have also stopped the Blue Iris service and connected to the camera via the AMCrest WebUI and experienced the same issues with the music streaming on the SONOS devices pausing/ dropping out etc.
I'm still trying to narrow-down/identify the components that may be the cause of this issue but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else might have already been there done that. I also plan to send this to the Blue Iris support team.
Thoughts, suggestions?
TIA
Dave
Wifi interference after adding IP4M-1051
Re: Wifi interference after adding IP4M-1051
You could try changing the router wifi 2.4 ghz channel being used by the 1051 to something different if the Sonos router and other nearby networks are using the same channel. Or try changing 1051 to use 5.0 ghz. The best thing to do to eliminate wifi problems and increase reliability is to use wired cameras.

Thanks for suggesting a channel change. I did a little research on Wifi channels and ended up sticking the DMZ network on channel 11 and the non-DMZ network on channel 1. All signs and sounds of interference immediately disappeared.
