Why does IR turn back on by itself?

Greetings - why does my cam keep turning the IR light back on after I've turned it off?

It's an newly-installed IP8M-2496EW-V2 @ V2.820.00AC000.0.R and Surveillance Station @ 9.0.2-10057

Both the camera and the NVR have been rebooted since I learned about the problem.

Here are the steps I've done in the cam config and the NVR. The steps marked "1 & 2" are the ones that seem to have a mind of their own.

So I can't say why your system is working the way you have said.. I have a V2 and mine is with V2.820.00AC000.0.R, Build Date: 2022-03-25 and is working the way you said you have setup yours.. (Camera wise anyway) I don't use SS, I have it connected to ASP and my NVR's. Now normally I have had it setup as it was setup where it was working all the time as Day mode Auto..

So what could it be.. Here is what I think is really going on.

While you have your system setup and again I setup mine to work with Day/Night mode, I am going to guess that your Day is setup for Auto for IR, If that is the case then it could be that the system is turning on the IR under the Day mode...

I have turned my IR on and the IR you can see in the first picture is from my 850 PTZ camera. So I thought I would turn on MY IR so you can see what mine looks like with IR on.
