Where is the new firmware and browser plugin?

Post by linflas »

ETA back in July was September, now it is now November, no update from your team. Your customer service is awful in every way. Regretted buying this system from day 1,

Hello,
We sincerely apologize for the delay in releasing the plugin for Google Chrome. We are following up on this with the developers and expect to release the new firmware with the Google Chrome plugin by next month.

Next month meaning December?

Sigh, you really need to get your Chinese partners to provide you with more timely updates for your products. Dahua is no small entity, they should be able to do much better than this.

Oh, and it is not just Google Chrome, It is also Microsoft Edge, you know the one over 28% of the marketplace has switched to, that is the default browser, so many just normal computer users will be using it. Especially as those number grow as the year goes on.

Your company and your partner Dahua have been nothing but terrible in updating these systems, and providing meaningful support for your users. I spent more time finding solutions on my own due to your support techs being so horribly trained, that every question I asked via phone or the web was WRONG! Every single one. That is deplorable, why I stopped participating in these forums, because I was producing more answers than your team, and I never even received a thank you or acknowledgement of that work.

When I move next year, I will be needing a new camera system, guess which company will not be on the list of contenders, c'mon take a guess.

So thanks for the response, but I am certainly not going to count on you or Dahua to actually meet that timeline.

A rant from one of your MANY dissatisfied customers.

I find this pretty disappointing myself as a new purchaser. This unit I just purchased is basically useless to me since it can't be viewed while away from home. I have an iPhone 6s that the app will not work on, nor will Safari (not usable apparently) An android device with Google Chrome (not usable.) Put Mozilla on it (also not usable since you can't download with it on android.) My PC's have Windows 10 on them and there is no support for Edge browser and the only way to get the web service to work is to put Mozilla on my PC's which I really do not wish to do but have had to do just to have local access to the device. So, here it is coming up on December. When in December exactly is support going to be forthcoming? Or, should I just return this equipment as unusable as it is so heavily advertised as being?

Looks like Amcrest and their Dahua suppliers continue to provide nothing they promise.

End of December...Still jack and sh*t

Unfortunately Melvin, that does nothing to address the promises for fixes for your HDCVI systems.

Your team has been promising a fix since November 2015, it is now Mid January 2016, without any evidence of progress.

Some evidence of progress would be something.

Are you internally beta testing yet? Are your suppliers Dahua any closer to a fix?
