I just got a IP4M-1051W. I am still playing with it but I'm trying to figure out the best way to accomplish my wants.
I am going to configure the camera to record to my FTP server and on a schedule. Sometimes it'll record nonstop, sometimes it'll record on motion, and sometimes it won't record.
I want parents, who are in different parts of the world, to be able to see the camera from their phone. I'm not sure the best way to accomplish this?
What is the best way to enable grandparents to see video without paying for a cloud account?

Hello and Welcome to the forum
Setup an account on your Camera for your parents and have your camera connected to a router that is connected to the Internet. When you have them log into the Amcrest View Pro app and setup the camera give them the SN of the camera and the user name and password you made for the account. With them setting up the camera anywhere under P2P setup they can access the camera all without having to try to remember IP address to your network and port forwarding
So they Setup the app using P2P method, using their user and pass it is that easy. As long as they have Internet on the phone or Tablet..
