Still getting the feel of my 1080P wireless camera.
Cannot get the motion detection to work at all.
When I'm in Camera-Video and change "code stream type" to motion as well as changing snapshot type to event, and SAVE IT, everytime i return to that screen it defaults to the other value. Am I missing something?
I basically ONLY want to use this camera to record video/snapshots to either ftp or dropbox when motion is detected. Any help would be appreciated.

When you make changed under Camera-Video and change something it saves the info. It just allows you to select different quality levels for motion detection and regular images.
To set up FTP recording you need to first go to set up > Event and set up schedule for motion detection.
Set up > Storage > Destination-set this to FTP
Set up > storage > schedule ensure motion detection recording is scheduled.
Please find the FTP settings below.
1) Server address: Enter the ip address of the device without any prefix/suffix
2) port: 21 unless you have changed it to something else.
3) Username and password for the FTP server. Please use authentication as it might not work with anonymous login.
4) Directory: Try creating a folder on the root directory of the server and just put the name of the folder here. Its case sensitive so make sure you use the correct case.

Despite setting this up correctly it's not working. I am able to see some files being written to the ftp but it's intermittant. For instance, I'll get motion detected notifications on my phone but nothing is being recorded to the ftp. Also I'm getting an error message when I try to connect to the camera from outside of my network. Something isn't right with it.
