web plugin
web plugin
I have 2 Amcrest cameras and can view the videos on my smartphone and on my laptop, running the latest Win 10 but not on my desktop, also running Win 10. I can see the picture when I click on settings and login via that route but I cannot view it in any web browser. I have set my default web browser to IE 11 but when I login through the web browser I only get a blank screen with the message to download "web plugin" but even after installation of web plugin that screen still is blank and the message is still there.

Re: web plugin
1. Delete IE ("Internet Explorer") 11 browser cache.
2. Use "Compatibility View" with IE 11 for your cameras local IP Address, ISP IP Address and DDNS. More here:

Note: If you are also using a Amcrest NVR/DVR also do the same for it as well.

Re: web plugin
What if I want to use Firefox or Chrome browser? I have the same problems with those browsers as I do the IE. Every time I open any browser I get the download plugin, which I do and then run the plugin. I'm not sure that the plugin ever completes installation even though it looks to start to and go part way before the plugin installation popup disappears.
Solutions for other browsers?

Hello Bradbury ,
If you have any antivirus program , please disable it and then download and reinstall the plugin. Also try clearing the browser cookies and cache. If nothing works for you I would suggest the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software. Please find the link below.
