User defined motion detection areas ignored

I can't seem to get my Amcrest 720p Wi-fi camera to respect the motion detect areas I've set.
After masking out select areas and clicking 'save',the cam just then carries on detecting events in the entire frame.

I dont want to be motion detecting cars going past,I only want to capture motion in my garden.

Is there any to get the cam to actually save and respect user defined areas?

Hello TicalDE ,

Have you added the camera to the Amcrest cloud service? If so the settings might be conflicting. You can set the detection area in the cloud if that is the case as it takes over the camera settings.
