So I tried everything to view my cameras from the Amcrest 960h on Linux using 3rd party software, wine, etc - I could not get anything to work. However I was able to do it using some beta Google Chrome/Android programs and it works nearly flawlessly using my method:
-Obviously have Google Chrome installed.
-Install the Arc Welder Beta Chrome app here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ngdoccbadn
-Download the Android Amcrest Link apk (2.1.7.9 as of this post) here: https://apk-dl.com/amcrest-link
-Create a folder anywhere that you want to use/run the program from. I chose to make an folder called ArcWelder in my home directory.
-Run Arc Welder, choose the folder that you created earlier. This is where Arc Welder will run the program from.
-Add the apk from wherever your download location is when prompted.
-Choose the options of Portrait and Tablet. Keep clipboard enabled.
-Click test apk. When it opens, add your DVR login info (I use the UUID option).
-And that's it. Arc Welder will create a launcher for Amcrest link in your Chrome apps tab and in your system menu. There's no need to open the Arc Welder app again and go through that setup, just click the Amcrest Link icon from your Chrome apps list in the browser or right in your system menu (I tested on Cinnamon and XFCE).
The only real bug I noticed is that if the open window loses focus, after about a 30 seconds the feed will disconnect (not close), but all you do is focus the window again and it'll reconnect. I tested this method successfully on Manjaro (Arch) Cinnamon & XFCE, Mint 17.3 Cinnamon & XFCE, so I would imagine it would work on most distros.
