An update on this, Microsoft have pushed out updated defs that no longer flag the plugin as malware, see the link in the previous message which has now been updated. The definition version you need is 1.263.1153.0.
This still leaves a pile of other A/V products that flag it as malware, however...

Another, hopefully final, update, I've contacted Amcrest technical support and they said they'd look into it.
