I have an NV2108E with firmware version 10002, Onvif Cliente Version 2.4.1, Build Date 2017-05-16. The system version is 3.200.AC00.0.
I get well over 100 NVR email alerts with snapshots daily. Most of these are either false motion detection or the item that caused the motion alert is out of the view of the camera when the snapshot is taken.
Also, I have set up regions to get no alerts, sensitivity of 0 and threshold or 100. But I still get many alerts because of cars going down the street in these areas.
Can a growing shadow or a growing area of sunlight cause alerts?
Too many email alerts with snapshots
Re: Too many email alerts with snapshots
Yes. And clouds, birds, squirrels, wasps, wind blown foliage, even pollen at night causing the IR light to reflect back into the camera and headlights crossing the motion detection area (at night). I've experienced all of these. However, I have not made adjustments to the sensitivity and threshold to try and alleviate the issues, so I can't offer much guidance there. It's on my to-do list to experiment a bit...

Mike,
I have spent hours and hours on this. I have also changed anti-dither many times. But I am still getting around 150 alerts per day when I should be getting only about 20 to 30. I do want snapshots of cars/people in my driveway or people entering my front door. My wife teaches piano 5 days a week and mainly we want to capture snapshots of the students and parents. We also would like to capture any person intending theft and wild animals on our property (pigs/bears)
I will update this post if I ever solve this problem. I keep hoping that a new firmware update will resolve many of these issues. The last firmware release was 05-16-2017, almost a year ago. I think we are overdue.
