I have an AMDV4M8 DVR and every time I set the time to UTC -8 it changes itself back to UTC -6 instantly. I can sync the time with the PC but it inevitably syncs with the NTP Server and changes itself back. I disable the NTP server, it re-enables itself.
In fact, it seems that ANY change I make to the time and date it eventually resets itself. I had date in MM/DD/YYYY format and it changes itself back to YYYY-MM-DD.
There seems to be a bug in the firmware preventing me from making any changes to date and time and this product is so new you can't even find it on their support site to upgrade the firmware.
Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: It seems that any time I change the UTC setting is when things go wrong. I can sync PC and disable NTP, but if I change the UTC to -8 it re-enables NTP to, defaults back to UTC -6 and it will change my system time by two hours the next time NTP updates (default is 60 minutes)
