Strange problem with HDMI cable

Post by imdanimal »

I sent an email to support a couple days ago but haven't heard a peep back. Thought I'd post here and see if someone may be able to help me.

Hello,

I recently purchased the 4 camera, 2 TB hdd , 1080p HD-CVI system. I installed and configured everything and all works well.

I configured using a VGA cable connected to a monitor. I purchased a 40 ft HDMI cable with the intent of viewing on my TV. I changed the resolution in setup to 1920x1080 and rebooted as instructed in the manual and online.

I plugged the HDMI cable in and can see 2 of the 4 cameras as expected. However, the 3rd camera display is corrupt and the 4th camera does not display at all. I tried swapping cameras to different ports. If 2 are plugged in, they display correctly. As soon as a 3rd is plugged in, it's corrupt. The 4th will not display at all.

The dvr also displays a message stating encoding resolution has changed. The affect is also visible using the Android app. 2 cameras visible, 1 corrupt and 1 no image.

If I plug the VGA cable back in, the monitor displays the same corruption. If I unplug the HDMI cable, the VGA then displays all 4 cameras correctly. As does the Android app.

I reset all settings except network back to default and rebooted. No change.

I updated firmware for the AMDV10804 to 3.200.AC24.0 9/16/15 from the Amcrest firmware page.

Can you help me?
