Having struggled with my cameras continually losing their connection to the cloud, I decided to try to set them up with static IP addresses. So I set my main camera to 192.168.0.201, static IP (wired as default), verified that it had saved that address, rebooted three times, and when I go to amcrestcloud.com (in Chrome, since it doesn't work in Safari), deleted the old camera, and added it back, I'm told "The camera you are trying to add/modify is not connected to the cloud. Please reboot ..... " yadayadayada.
Am I missing a step? Did I set up the static IP addresses incorrectly?
These are the IP2M-842 cameras, FWIW.
Static IP/cloud
Re: Static IP/cloud
Hello earachefl ,
Please check under set up > Network > TCP IP > P2P to see if the status is online. If it is not this could be the issue. Try changing it back to DHCP temporarily to see if that makes it online and if you can add the camera to the cloud after that.
If this does not help ensure the camera is on latest firmware and hard reset the camera. This will require you to set up the camera again from scratch.

Re: Static IP/cloud
@Melvin,
The status was offline. I did change it to DHCP and was able to add it to the cloud. That doesn't solve my problem though... every time it loses connection, I have to hard reset the camera from my desktop again. This is unacceptable.
Is there not a solution for this?
