snapshot count of 5 never works

I have been experimenting with motion activated snapshots on an 841 with the latest firmware. The snapshots are sent to my local ftp server and emailed. I have selected 5 for the number of snapshots. I have experimented with dither settings but they don't seem to affect the number of snapshots taken.

The problem is that motion activation sends an email message with only one snapshot and the ftp submission varies from 1 -4 snapshots. I can't figure out what is limiting the snapshot count. I tried turning off the ftp submission and still only get one snapshot in the email message.

Any ideas?

Interesting. This command from the beta test posts does seem to change the number FTP snapshots.

<ip address of camera>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&MotionDetect[0].EventHandler.SnapshotTimes=50

However, the SnapshotTimes=50 produced 9 snapshots not 50 for me.
