SmarPlay not recognizing videos my Mac

H E L P !!!!!

I have set up my Amcrest devices to write recorded videos to a NAS on my Mac Pro. That part is working fine. I can see files such as:

/Users/Shared/ftp/down/AMC0001R_5WK473/2018-02-11/001/dav/14/14.52.12-14.53.05[M][0@0][0].mp4
/Users/Shared/ftp/down/AMC0001R_5WK473/2018-02-11/001/dav/14/14.52.12-14.53.05[M][0@0][0].idx

However, when I run SmartPlay downloaded from here:

I cannot get it to display the videos. I have tried selecting individual .mp4 and .idx files using the "Add Files" button in Smart Play, but they don't show up. What am I doing wrong?
