I bought model IP3M-943 from Amazon.
Setup was very easy and I can access the camera either from the desktop app or from the android app.
I have setup motion detection via the desktop app to trigger motion on a small section of the viewing area. (10 boxes are marked)
I saved and refreshed and tested. Received the email when I walked thru the marked area.
Now, after a few hours I started to receive event emails every minute or so.
When I checked the camera video detection settings I found that the entire area is now marked to trigger motion detection. The original area I have marked got somehow modified.
Can you explain why the marked area was changed without any human intervention ?
This is totally unacceptable and motion detection became useless.
Serious issue with motion detection
Re: Serious issue with motion detection
Hello danik56 ,
Once you set the area and click save, on the video detect page, you need to click again for the settings to save.
One other thing is if you have added the camera to Amcrest cloud service, the settings in Cloud takes precedence over the camera settings. Cloud does not allow you to set multiple zones like in the camera unfortunately.

Re: Serious issue with motion detection
So are you saying that setting the detection area via the app gets overridden by the cloud service ? Why would the cloud service care about the marked detection area ?
Re: Serious issue with motion detection
I removed the camera from the cloud service and since then the motion detection settings are stable.
