SD card recording? IP3M-943B

I have a pair of these cameras and a 64 GB SD card in each one. I want them to record a video snippet to SD card whenever they detect motion all day/every day. How can I set this up and can I control how long the snippets are?

I have looked at the Record Schedule settings and at default they seem to be set to record when motion and alarm detected 24 hours a day 7 days a week. But I am only getting a few recordings a day when there should be many more recordings.
