I have a WD EX2100 8Tb Cloud server (directly connected to my router via CAT5). I setup a share called "Amcrest" and made it public (no sign in required). I then opened the Amcrest Web View software and went to Setup\Storage\Destination and made sure the Path was set to NAS for both record and snapshot. Then on the NAS tab, I clicked "enabled" and set the server address to the static IP address for my Cloud server and the remote directory to "Amcrest."
However, at this point nothing is being stored to that NAS. The above was just a logical guess at what should work, but clearly doesn't. Anyone know where I went wrong?
Save event videos to NAS
Re: Save event videos to NAS
I have the same problem, among others. FTP worked fine. I did the same thing, a whole UNC path or just /Amcrest.
Re: Save event videos to NAS
I have a MyCloudMirror Gen2 so the problem may be the same as the one I overcame when I was using the NAS option.
In the 'save to' path you need to add " /nfs/ ". So in the case of a share called "Public" on my NAS the address would read - " //192.168.178.27/nfs/Public "
I've found that whether the NAS option works or not is very hit and miss changing each time I updated camera firmware. For me FTP has been more succesful, although not entirely trouble free.
