reverse video on a 824 IP camera
reverse video on a 824 IP camera
One of my cameras is about 40-50 feet from what I what to monitor, the IR gets too week to properly monitor the area. I notice that at Twighlight, the camera does some kind of a flip flop like reverse video, then the picture gets darker as time goes on. Is there a way to schedule just that 1 camera to flop to that mode at a set time every day? I can't think of anything beyond an IR blaster would help.

824? Need more info about your coffee, I don't know of an Amcrest 824 so can you happen to point to your camera on the Amcrest Website?
There are ways normally with Amcrest cameras to setup a time that your camera would go from day/night. Also most cameras are also listed with what the Max distance the camera can work with the installed IR..

Sorry I just look at some of your older post and seen that another post you are asking about 842, So my guess is that is what you are asking about here.. In this case the camera does offer IR for about 32 feet. Anything beyond that will require something with more IR power like as you posted an IR Blaster.
To get to your camera info, Log into the camera, click on Setup. Then in there first thing that comes up would be where you can make the changes. you will want to click on Profile Management, Keep in mind that if you setup the Schedule for day/night you will also need to make them changes when the seasons change.. from there Profile Management, you will want to make your changes..
Next and maybe something better to do.. Is on the right side of the picture, Should be something about your IR, click that and change the Smart IR to Manual and setup to work manual full 100%.. Something to keep in mind some cameras are dumb and won't ever turn off the IR from them on.. Meaning even though your camera goes to day *Color* it will if one of the dumb cameras show that the IR is on.. Then some of the better cameras even with the IR setup for manual it will turn off in day mode.. Just as I was saying there are some cameras out there that are dumb and if setup for Manual you might notice your cameras IR's are on even at the brightest time of day and if that is going to happen you will want to not setup for Manual IR to save your cameras LEDs. Full time IR will kill your LEDs in really short order..
